Head Coach

Coach Cody started his softball journey like many coaches before him—as a "no-knowledge bucket dad" for his aspiring 6-year-old pitcher. While he had coached teams across multiple sports, he quickly fell in love with softball's unique pace, strategy, and the mental toughness it demands from players. Over six years, he has coached with USA Softball through TOGSA and WAGS, and now brings his passion to travel ball with Valley Waves.

Coach Cody's approach mirrors his personality: creative, organized, and focused on fostering healthy competition in every practice. He's committed to creating a healthy and happy experience for his athletes and families in the often overwhelming world of travel softball. He loves the spirited joy and energy that softball allows, appreciating that players can be themselves—loud, happy, and authentic—even in the midst of intense competition.

When he's not on the field, Coach Cody works as an Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapist and is the former owner of Advanced Physical Therapy in Thousand Oaks. He enjoys staying active, exploring great food, and spending time with his wife and three children.
