Head Coach

Casey Preston brings over 10 years of softball coaching experience to Valley Waves Softball. He currently leads the Valley Waves Preston 12U team, which posted a 50-27-3 record last season, earning 6 tournament championships. Already, the team is Alliance Qualified, with PGF qualification pending for 2026! 

Casey is also the Head Varsity Softball Coach at Oak Park High School, where he oversees player development, program structure, and competitive preparation.

His previous coaching background includes serving as the Head Coach of the WAGS 10U Gold team, which finished as Runner-Up at the 2024 USA National Championship in Salem, Oregon. In addition, to many years coaching travel softball with his older children. 

Before coaching softball, Casey was a Division I Athlete (Quarterback), a Team Captain, and a High School All-State and All-American athlete. He also has multiple years of high school football coaching experience at Westlake, Thousand Oaks, and Crespi.

Casey’s coaching approach emphasizes fundamentals, structured development, work ethic, toughness and a competitive team culture.
